Kick start your day with a good breakfast

Another Happy Birthday Breakfast

on October 15, 2013

While we’re on the subject of Michigan and the thirdTigers/RedSox game is not ’til tonight, I can send my niece Elizabeth Whittingham Ruhl hugs and kisses for her birthday. She is the first of our next generation, born in Grand Rapids 24 years ago.

Wish we still took vacations in Florida together!

Today, she’s a college graduate, pursuing a career as a Child Life Specialist, and a stunning young woman.

I asked myself, what would Elizabeth like for breakfast? She’s got a serious sweet tooth, so I don’t think she’d turn down a puff pastry tart with black cherry jam.

For a calm young lady, this "bleeding heart" is a bit operatic, I admit.

To my goddaughter and friend, happy birthday! xx00
